Bryan Richheimer -

SCULPTOR

Exploring craftsmanship is my lifelong journey. I built a house including cabinets, vanities and doors, with used lumber which was salvaged from several barns. Custom tile and stone work in home construction and renovation, opened another creative chapter. I now combine these building skills with my love of nature.

Inspired by wood recovered mostly from Vermont forests and River banks, my sculptures strive to capture the delicate beauty and powerful grace of birds in a natural setting.

A Great Blue Heron was built around a dried palm leaf which proved to be a perfect tail. My birds continue to evolve with the discovery of new materials and techniques.

" No one is doing this," is a common response to my work.
